Palm Meadows Limited

Palm Meadows Ltd is a proudly 100% owned PNG company. Palm Meadows owns various agriculture land near Kwikila in Rigo District and is engage in the business of Rice farming and milling. The rice produced by Palm Meadows is packed and sold under the brand name of “Rigo Rice”.

Palm Meadows Ltd currently owns various State Lease Title Deeds totalling 6000 hectares. These land holding can be readily accessed to develop and make available for Paddy Rice Farming. There are additional 60,000-hectare land (Customary) available within Rigo District. This land can be mobilized through the involvement of locals in the project. The participation of locals as agents of Rigo Rice will boost availability of land for rice farming.  

With the addition plant and equipment Palm Meadows will be able to develop additional 1000 hectares over a span of 10 years. Palm Meadows will develop rice paddy fields at a rate of 8.4 hectares per month and this will in turn increase monthly rice planting by 8.4hectares.

Currently Palm Meadows plants 50hectares per month. This enables Palm Meadows to harvest 50 hectares per month all year around (crop will be planted in monthly batches with each batch having a full cycle from planting to harvesting of 4months). Refer to table below which shows the gradual increase in rice harvested relative to land farmed at a rate of additional 8.4hectares per month over a period of 10 months.
